This seminar is excellent preparation for existing exercise professionals who want to attend Essential Anatomy and any of the 'musculoskeletal courses'.

Overview of the seminar

This unique seminar revises all of the movements available at each of the main joints. The movements of the shoulder and pelvic girdles are discussed along with their effect on the spine and hips. A systematic approach to analysing movements is explained and then applied to a variety of exercises.

The numerous factors that influence shoulder and pelvic girdle stabilisation during movement are also considered.

  • The roles that muscles play during movements
  • Movements available at all the major joints
  • Movements of the shoulder girdle
  • Movements and associated movements of the pelvis, hips and lumbar spine
  • A systematic approach to analysing movements

Accreditation and assessment

Principles of Movement Analysis is recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) as continuous professional development (cpd).

Attending this seminar can achieve 4 cpd points. There is an informal multiple choice assessment on completion.

Pre-requisites

Seminar attendance is suitable for Level 2 instructors, or above, as recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals.

Those who are not members of the Register of Exercise Professionals are also welcome to attend.
