Overview of the seminar

The initial and ongoing assessment of an individual's fitness plays an essential role in the process of exercise prescription. With regard to an individual's strength, there are three components that may need to be considered: muscular strength, muscular endurance and muscular power.

This seminar provides a rationale for thorough assessment, and a series of assessment protocols for each component of muscular strength.

Accreditation and assessment

The Art and Science of Assessing Muscular Strength, Endurance and Power is recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) as continuous professional development (cpd).

Attending this seminar can achieve 3 cpd points. There is an informal multiple choice assessment on completion.

Pre-requisites

Seminar attendance is suitable for Level 2 instructors, or above, as recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals.

Those who are not members of the Register of Exercise Professionals are also welcome to attend.
